First Wedding Video

My friends, Jen & Chris, agreed to let me do their wedding video last month.  I had never done anything exactly like this, so it was definitely a learning experience.  But also loads of fun.  Here’s the result:

We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity. The tide in the affairs of men does not remain at flood — it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is adamant to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words, ‘Too late.’ – MLK jr.

Now this is just fun.

If you want your skin turned blue, I’m your man.

I’ve been going through some Photoshop tutorials lately, trying to brush up on my image editing skills.  I watched one the other day that went through the process of changing facial structure and skin color so that the end result was the subject of the photograph looking like a Na’vi, the blue aliens from the movie Avatar.

Of course I had to try it.

My sister, Maddy, was the lucky subject.  Here are the before and after pictures:

For not spending a whole lot of time on it, and it being the first thing that I’ve ever really manipulated in Photoshop, I’m pretty pleased.  I definitely should have flattened the nose some more.  Oh well.  It looks ridiculous, I know.  But then again, most blue-skinned people do.

It’s somebody’s birthday…

I love you, Dad!  Happy Birthday!

(nice picture, huh?  :) )
